Hope and the Wondrous Wetland

In a land dry and cracked, where no rivers would flow,
Lived Hope the frog, with a great need to go—
She carried her eggs, but had no place to stow.

The ponds had dried up, the lakes turned to sand,
“No home for my babies, no safe, soft land,”
She hopped with her heart heavy, searching the strand.

Then one day she spotted a place green and bright,
A garden of wonder, a marvelous sight,
With water and reeds that just felt so right!

She sipped from the stream, cool and clear as could be,
The lily pads floated so wide and so free,
“This might be the home I need desperately!”

Then, splashing nearby, a turtle swam through,
“This garden’s no secret, it’s well-known, it’s true!
There’s a keeper who tends it, with love that shines through.”

“They care for the water, the plants, and the trees,
They even feed birds with seed in the breeze,
This place is for you, for your eggs and your ease.”

Hope’s heart leapt with joy, so light it could sing,
She found a safe home to hatch her new spring,
Where her babies would grow in the pond’s soft ring.

Grateful, she croaked with a wide, happy cheer,
“This garden was built with love, that is clear!
I found it just when I needed it here.”

Moral:
When you build with love, for the Earth and its life,
You ease nature’s struggles and lessen its strife,
And it will repay you with blessings so rife!
